Rev. Msgr. Carlos Encina Commentz, a priest since 1995, holds a doctorate in canon law from the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross in Rome. Since 2006 he has served the Holy See as an Official of the Tribunal of the Apostolic Penitentiary. In 2010 he received the title of Chaplain of His Holiness. Since 2014 he has been Coadjutor of the Chapter of St. Peter’s Basilica in the Vatican. He has given lectures for priestly and canon law conferences in different countries.
