Christian, recognize your dignity…  Never forget that you have been rescued from the power of darkness and brought into the light of the kingdom of God.” (St. Leo the Great)

Much has been said about the need for returning to traditional moral values in societal and political life. To understand how secularism and relativism have progressively caused the erosion of moral values and obscured the true dignity of the human person, a Christian must be able to engage both their conscience and the power of reason.

Our Moral Life in Christ, College Edition presents the teachings of the Magisterium on moral issues in modern society and the general principles of ethical and moral decision making.

Rev. Peter Armenio makes clear that the morality preached by Jesus of Nazareth is superior to all man‑made moral systems and that the dignity we have in Christ means that we are to seek the things that are above.

Useful for college students and also the lay faithful, Our Moral Life in Christ, College Edition provides an intelligent preparation of the Church’s moral doctrine for those who seek to deepen their union with Christ and with one another in him.

Necessary Refresher Course

I purchased this book as a modern update of moral theology. With the onset of extreme moral relativism in the world, this book provides a very clear understanding of how to live by the teachings of the Catholic Church. It presents current moral issues and uses recent papal documents to explain what is good and bad in the decisions we would make. It also emphasizes that ‘keeping the moral law leads to happiness’ ! What a wonderful thought ! GREAT BOOK !
